Vento di Terra ONLUS'  initiatives in Italy are aimed at involvement and consciousness-raising in local communities regarding human rights issues, especially those of children and adolescents in developing countries. With documentation gathered in its projects, and with internally-produced audiovisual aids, public meetings and activities are organised for associations, solidarity groups, and local citizens.  

Vento di Terra's priority is promoting intercultural initiatives and development education programs. Follow-up activities and study groups are organised with the cooperation of primary, middle and secondary schools.  In 2008, VdT was invited by the Milano Bicocca University as an expert to participate in workshops on decentralised cooperation and tourism. In 2006 and 2007, the workshop “Cliccando per la Pace” (clicking for Peace) was organised in Rozzano. The aim of this computer workshop was to help put middle school students of different nationalities in contact with each other..  Since the summer of 2005, every year the “Peace Camps” have been take place in Rozzano and in the areas around Milan, Cremona and Ancona.  This exchange program involving Palestinian and Italian pre-teen groups, allows them to become protagonists of a multicultural experience of education for peace;
